Elli Lyraraki was born and raised in Athens, originally from Crete. With her husband, who was well versed in the traditional art of sandal making, they set up a small workshop where they began creating handmade leather sandals. The couple designs and makes, in addition to handmade leather sandals, ballerinas, bags, earrings, bracelets and necklaces. In addition, for the handmade shoes, they collaborated with specialized painters who applied the batik technique that was used for the first time on shoes. Soon, they loved their work, and gradually, they managed to realize their dreams and cultivate their creativity. Today, their collections are available in many stores throughout Greece and abroad.
