A few years ago the media began to report more about the dangers of plastic for health and the environment. Plastic often contains pollutants such as BPA, which can get into our bodies through packaged food. This made ECO Brotbox founder Mustafa change his mind. He then started searching for plastic-free alternatives to the classic lunchboxes and bottles. He finally discovered what he was looking for in India, where stainless steel food containers have been in use for generations – alongside many other parts of the world.
